Therapy Space
Therapy feels like it begins as soon as you enter this nurturing, safe and enriched space
I remember the first time I ever booked a therapy session for myself. I was really intrigued and a little nervous about what to expect, particularly what the space would look like. I vividly remember standing outside a beautiful old Victorian building in Glasgow and having no idea what I was about to walk into.
A question I get asked a lot is what does your therapy space looks like? I thought it would be really helpful to show you around and let you see for yourself. I have curated an enriched space that people tell me that when they walk into it, they immediately feel safe and at ease. I have consciously created a space that is filled with natural light, gentle and soothing décor and big enveloping, comfortable chairs.
My therapy room feels safe enough to hold the thoughts, feelings, emotions and what we may be processing. A place that allows exploration and creates a willingness for psychological flexibility. I wanted there to be a feast of textures, lots of inviting opportunities for our senses of sight, touch and smell – at the same time as creating a sense of nature-based peace and nurturance.
All of my beautiful imagery was captured by Sarah at Sarah Clayton Photography. She is an absolute dream-maker and a delight to spend the day with!
